Mar 20, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A proposal for an adult internet domain will be debated at a conference in New Zealand in March 2006. Internet Corporation for Assigned Names & Numbers (ICANN) will discuss the proposal for a ".xxx" domain for adult sites. More sophisticated search engines are
making domain names irrelevant. However, it is argued that the domain will make it easier to filter pornography. Some believe that a separate domain makes the industry legitimate, while others feel that new domain names are a way to make money.
