Returning to normal this year.

Australasian Business Intelligence, March, 2006

Mar 14, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The strength of the February/March 2006 Australian corporate reporting season failed to prevent a change in investor sentiment.

According to Axa Asia Pacific, the weighted average profit for the 2005-06 first half rose by 30.6 per cent compared to the previous year. The resources sector, however, contributed 63 per cent of the gains. Broker, Goldman Sachs JBWere, says

defensive themes began to develop in February when more volatile (high beta) stocks did less well than those with low beta.
