Woolies hits record, powers away from Coles Myer.

Mar 08, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Woolworths has proven popular with investors during 2006, but some analysts recommend
"hold" positions rather than "buy". Of the 13 sharemarket analysts covering Woolworths, five are "buy" and eight are "hold". ABN Amro's James Casey believes Woolworths can achieve a 12-month target of $A20.30, and its performance on 8 March 2006 brought it to a record high. As Coles Myer dropped $A0.07 to $A9.84, Woolworths improved $A0.18 to $A19.14. Between January and March 2006 Woolworths has outperformed the S&P/ASX 200 index by 10 percentage points.
