Apr 27, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A number of Australian accounting firms, including Horwath International, are attempting to establish a presence in China. As at late April 2006, Horwath has set up operations in eight Chinese cities, including Beijing and Shanghai. However, the group has not yet made significant inroads into the market, which is considered difficult to crack. PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, BDO, HLB International and Grant Thornton are among the other accounting firms attempting to gain some exposure in China.
