Patrick and Toll: battle of the lawyers.

Apr 20, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Toll Holdings' seven-month battle for control of Patrick Corporation was characterised by a number of legal disputes. During the proceedings, Toll was represented by Clayton Utz, whereas Patrick retained a broad artillery of legal power in its effort to fend off the $A6 billion takeover. The target's CEO, Chris Corrigan, handpicked Andrew Clarke, of Allens Arthur Robinson, along with John Kench, of Johnson, Winter & Slattery and Arnold Bloch Leibler partner, Leon Zwier.
