Easing of red tape welcomed.

Apr 12, 2006 (Herald Sun - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Industry experts predict Australian small businesses will benefit from a move to reduce the compliance burden. From July 2006, the upfront cost of registering a new enterprise by be reduced by 50 per cent, to about $A400. Robert Mallett, of the National Independent Retailers Association, claims the move will encourage retailers across Australia to re-evaluate their situation and consider a move towards incorporation. Tim Gullifer, of Deloitte Growth Solutions, predicts that over a four-year period, the measure will extract about $A216 million from the Budget.
