Renewed interest in Virgin Blue.
Australasian Business Intelligence, April, 2006
Byline: Sean Aylmer
Apr 17, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Virgin Group may get no immediate chance to increase its stake in Virgin Blue. Previously, Toll Holdings CEO Paul Little had indicated that he would quickly get rid of Patrick Corporation's Virgin Blue interest, should Toll succeed in acquiring Patrick. However on 17 April 2006, after Toll had finally secured Patrick's recommendation, Little stated that Toll would hold the 62.4 stake in the Australian airline for the time being. As Little noted, the Virgin interest could be advantageous for Toll's freight operations. Virgin's share price is also much healthier than it was at the start of the year.
