Pay TV veteran to lead Fairfax video charge.

Apr 10, 2006 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- John Fairfax Holdings has selected Jack Matthews to lead its Fairfax Digital division. The appointment is an important move for the Australian media group, which is seeking to boost its online services, and plans to offer video over broadband internet. Matthews has wide experience in the pay-TV and internet industries. In the past, he has been chief operating officer of Liberty Media joint venture Jupiter Programming, CEO of The Premium Movie Partnership, and CEO of Telstra Saturn.
