Something more than feelings.
Australasian Business Intelligence, April, 2006
Byline: Lynette Hoffman
Apr 06, 2006 (Human Resources - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Dan Goleman's "Emotional Intelligence" (EI) was written in 1995. The author thinks the
business case for EI has intensified since the book's publication. Paul Power, of Hay Group, says Goleman views EI as much more essential to success than technical skills or
IQ. Goleman cites studies at Case Western University and American Express that show it is possible to effect lasting changes in EI. There are three main methods of assessing EI:
the ability-based MSCEIT model, the Emotional Quotient Inventory and the Emotional Competency Inventory.
