May 29, 2006 (Tax Notes International - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An improvement can be expected in the relationships between Canadian and US tax authorities. Former Canadian tax official Francois Vincent, who now works with KPMG in Montreal, told a meeting of the Transfer Pricing Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation that negotiations between the US and Canadian tax authorities were often "extremely difficult and frustrating". Other speakers expressed their confidence in the positive result of the recent initiatives aiming at improving the US-Canadian tax relations.
