May 15, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Some of the world's most influential data security experts will present recommendations at an Australian seminar beginning 22 May 2006. AusCert, which specialises in IT security, is hosting the open forum on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Major industry and government groups will attend. AusCert consultant Richard Forno says security demands more than simply the expenditure of a lot of money. The human ability to get around security barriers should never be underestimated. Forno will speak on designing secure software and incident-handling strategies he designed for the US Government. IT visionary and author Richard Thieme is another speaker.
