May 10, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An associate professor of the University of New South Wales will speak to the Institute of Actuaries on 11 May 2006. John Evans, of the Commerce & Economics Faculty, has researched ethical investments over a five-year period. Evans has concluded that virtue neither improves nor impairs investment results, based on his research of 90 global securities selected for ethical rankings. One of the stocks covered in his research was BHP Billiton, which became an uranium miner after its takeover of WMC Resources.
