May 10, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian airline, Virgin Blue, supports a takeover of Patrick Corporation by Toll Holdings. Patrick gained control of Virgin in March 2005. Virgin CEO, Brett Godfrey, said that the airline would be in a better position under Toll than under a consortium led by Macquarie Bank. Virgin has posted a profit of $A68.2 million for the six months to 31 March 2006, a fall of 8.4 per cent. Revenue was $A935.9 million, a rise of 6.1 per cent.
