Jun 18, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian sharemarket is expected to remain volatility in coming weeks, after rebounding on 16 June 2006. Attention is likely to be focused on the upcoming meeting of the US Federal Reserve, which is widely tipped to increase official interest rates again on 28 June. Chris Pidcock of Goldman Sachs JBWere says the market may present some bargains for investors, and he identifies stocks such as Boral, Rinker, Woolworths and Rio Tinto as ones worth considering. Shane Oliver of AMP Capital Investors also believes that investors should consider buying, suggesting that the recent sharp fall was a correction rather than the beginning of a bear market.
