Jun 01, 2006 (Travel Weekly - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Sir Richard Branson is one of the world's greatest entrepreneurs. He has numerous Virgin businesses across the globe and is worth around $US2.9 billion. Sir Richard is working on plans for Virgin Galactic to fly tourists to the edge of space from 2008 onwards. Sir Richard is also expanding his Virgin airlines businesses, including Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Blue in Australia. He believes that travel agents have to re-invent themselves to cope with changing times, just as Virgin itself has completely renewed and re-invented itself. Sir Richard is also developing a stake in a new airline, a US budget carrier called Virgin America.
