Survey tracks competitiveness of UK tax regime.

Jul 31, 2006 (International Tax Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A survey conducted by KPMG shows that Great Britain's tax competitiveness is higher than that of the US and Australia. KPMG asked senior executives of the 50 large British companies which countries had the most competitive tax systems. Great Britain, with 14 per cent of votes, was ranked below Ireland (54 per cent), Netherlands (50 per cent), and Luxembourg (32 per cent), but above the US (eight per cent), and Australia (zero per cent), France (zero per cent) and Germany (zero per cent).
