Expert e-security panel to help ATO.
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2006
Byline: Rachel Lebihan
Jul 23, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is recruiting outside help to strengthen its electronic security. The ATO recognises that it is a prime target for hackers and online fraud perpetrators, and that taxpayers will only deal with it electronically if they feel secure. The ATO will select a specialist IT services panel to provide aid in times of need. It will comprise an undetermined number of consultants, who will be called in to help manage security issues. Services provided will include online security assessments and testing, auditing of security measures, and incident response advice.
