Jul 20, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) hopes to present evidence from new witnesses in the One.Tel case. ASIC has launched civil action against the failed telco's founder, Jodee Rich, and its finance director, Mark Silbermann. The corporate regulator has completed its case against Rich and Silbermann, but it wants to submit sworn affidavits from additional witnesses. It is believed that the new evidence will contradict the testimony of Rich in his affidavit. Justice Robert Austin has not yet decided whether to allow ASIC to submit the affidavits.
