Jul 06, 2006 (Inside Retailing - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Flight Centre is seeking tenders for an upgraded online booking facility. The listed travel agency chain recently added Lonely Planet to its Australian web site. Flight Centre has launched its first "Shop of the Future" at Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre in Melbourne. The store will act as a blueprint for the chain's future outlets. The Endeavour Hills shop features swivelling consultant terminals, a liquid crystal display screen and customer research terms.
