Gas flow to US a 'long-term issue'.

Aug 31, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- US energy experts believe that it could be some time before Australian LNG is marketed in the US. Joseph Kelliher, of the Federal Energy Commission, and James Slutz, of the US Department of Energy, are attending a conference in Perth. They said that it was not possible to forecast when Australian LNG would be sold in the US. There would probably be some regasification plants in operation within two years, but these would not be dedicated to Australian LNG, they noted. Some spot cargoes of Australian LNG had been delivered.
