Putting the IT in recruitment.
Australasian Business Intelligence, August, 2006
Byline: Teresa Russell
Aug 24, 2006 (Human Resources - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Beer and wine maker Lion Nathan and the City of Fremantle have both successfully automated their recruiting processes. Denise Ford, of the City of Fremantle, describes their previous manual system as a "nightmare", while Julie Masnick, of Lion Nathan, refers to their old system as "painful". Lion Nathan has a turnover rate of about 13 per cent a year, while some its sales jobs receive as many as 200 applications. Masnick says that its new system paid for itself in less than six months, and that she now has more time to focus on strategic recruiting issues.
