Aug 23, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A US study warns that hand-held electronic devices are addictive, and employees who are forced to use them may have grounds to sue. Rutgers University professor of management Gayle Porter says the stimulation provided by the devices can be addictive. Employees who take their Blackberry devices, laptop computers or even mobile telephones with them everywhere so the office can stay in contact may find it impossible to shut work out of their minds and simply relax. Porter says employers are ignoring the problem due to vested interests. Originally published in "The Times".
