Paperlinx surges on bright outlook.

Aug 22, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The share price of PaperlinX rose in response to an improving outlook on 22 August 2006. The Australian paper maker has posted a net profit after tax of $A65.4 million for the 12 months to 30 June 2006, a fall of 60.7 per cent. However, CEO Tom Park revealed new measures to reduce costs that will increase annual operating profit by $A35 million in 2006-07. He predicted that the global paper market could soon improve. The company's share price rose by $A0.23 to close at $A3.32.
