Has achievement among executives run amok?

Aug 14, 2006 (Human Resources - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Increasingly competitive business environments have resulted in overachieving executives. A study by Hay Group reveals that this drive for achievement has markedly increased since 1996. Achievement-obsessed executives might become hardened and unscrupulous leaders who lower organisation morale and motivation. Such executives need to be able to manage their strong desires and become more effective leaders. They should aim to inspire and coach others towards excellence.
