Sep 28, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Banks participating in the third-stage privatisation of Telstra must abide by strict regulatory rules. The Australian Securities & Investments Commission will be handed the "T3" prospectus for review on 9 October 2006. In order to comply with US Securities & Exchange Commission rules, the Australian Government has imposed stringent conditions that will last until that date. Analysts employed by the 19 participating banks are barred from publishing any research on the telco, and brokers may not make any reference to Telstra.
