Sep 26, 2006 (Food Week - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Coles Myer is believed to have retrenched eight general managers. John Fletcher, CEO of the company, said the move is part of Coles Myer's restructuring. Further changes in the senior management structure will be made in IT, finance, property, HR, supply chain and buying departments. Coles Myer intends to reduce the costs of running its head and state operations by $A100 million. The company has also made a number of marketing appointments. Gavin Parker, former general manager for format development, was appointed general manager of brand strategy and development. Gary Brinkworth became general manager for loyalty and payment.
