Coles Myer to release forecasts.
Australasian Business Intelligence, September, 2006
Sep 18, 2006 (Food Week - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The large Australian retailer, Coles Myer, is going through a busy period. On 21 September 2006, the group will unveil the full-year profit announcement. Afterwards, Coles Myer management will release the financial forecasts for 2007-08. Coles Myer has already issued its strategic plan to rebrand many of the separate retail units under the Coles name. The Coles Myer board recently rejected a takeover bid from a large consortium, led by the US private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. The offer was made to buy the company at $A14.50 per share, a bid the board rejected as too low after talking with its advisers Carnegie Wylie, Deutsche Bank and Freehills.
