Sep 14, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- All Australian Government agencies will now have access to crucial computer security information. Previously, AusCert's services were too expensive for many smaller departments, and only a few agencies had arrangements with it. However, in September 2006 the Attorney-General's Department and the computer emergency response agency at last sealed a deal under which all agencies will be able to access AusCert information through a Defence Signals Directorate website. A wide range of electronic security information and current threat alerts will be available.
