Sep 12, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Royal Australian Institute of Architects has awarded Deo Prasad the 2006 Neville Quarry Architectural Education Prize. Prasad, the director of the Centre for a Sustainable Built Environment at the University of New South Wales, has been commended for his work in sustainable design and research. Prasad supports the notion that sustainability must go "hand in hand" with design. He claims that he derived great value from his experiences in the Pacific island of Kiribati and in Iran.
