Australasian Business Intelligence, October, 2006
Oct 29, 2006 (Discrimination Alert - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A student denied a doctoral degree at RMIT University has failed in her discrimination claim. The student, Stanislawa Bahonko, claimed to have been discriminated against due to her "race, disability, religion and politics". Her case was dismissed by the Human Rights & Equal Opportunity Commission. The Federal Court of Australia denied Bahonko an extension of time in which to appeal the dismissal. Both the Court and the Commission judged her claims to be inadequate.
