Deloitte acquisition plunders Horwath.

Oct 29, 2006 (BRW - ABIX via COMTEX) -- There is more consolidation in the accounting sector in Australia. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu has merged with the Sydney practice of the chartered accountants' group, Horwath Australia. The acquisition leaves a gap in the Horwath national network. Many Horwath directors and staff will join Deloitte in November 2006, leaving the group short of staff. The directors of Horwath are seeking a replacement practice in Sydney. The Horwath name will remain in the Australian market.
