Oct 16, 2006 (Food Industry Week (NZ) - ABIX via COMTEX) -- New Zealand Wine Company has been certified under Landcare Research's "CarbNZero" scheme. The Marlborough company is the first winery in the world to be certified as a carbon-neutral wine producer under the program. The company offsets the carbon emissions that it could not avoid by buying credits from a wilderness park. Toyota new Zealand and Attitude Foods are also taking part in the "CarbNZero" program.
