HR thinkers: the guru circuit.

Oct 11, 2006 (Human Resources - ABIX via COMTEX) -- There is a growing number of high profile human resources (HR) experts, many of whom are US academics. Author and HR guru Dave Ulrich admits he reaps "obscene" fees for his speaking engagements. Other gurus with academic careers, successful books and consultancies include Mark Huselid and Lynda Gratton, respectively of Rutgers University and London Business School. Pam Kimmet, of Lucent Technologies, says Huselid and Ulrich's "The HR Scorecard" has been useful for her firm's HR team. PWL's Paul Kearn is sceptical about HR experts peddling "psychobabble" and jargon.
