Oct 09, 2006 (Herald Sun - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Renate Mokbel was a business partner with a Melbourne man charged recently over an alleged money-laundering ring. Mokbel, the sister-in-law of missing drug lord Tony Mokbel, was a partner with Kamel Khoder in a private investment company called Gannrf Investments. A Victorian police taskforce has charged Khoder with four counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception and one of making a false document. They impounded his Ferrari sports car. Mokbel, 35, faces losing her house after she put up a $A1m surety for her brother-in-law, who subsequently failed to appear in court. Police say she knew of his criminal activities but pretended to be a "dumb wife".
