Bosses lose their nerve.
Australasian Business Intelligence, October, 2006

Oct 05, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Business confidence dropped in the September 2006 quarter, according to a survey by the National Australia Bank. The six-point drop was attributed to recent interest rate rises and a lack of forward sales orders. Car yards, other retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers reported the weakest activity. However regional differences were again apparent, with the Queensland and Western Australian economies showing greater strength. The survey was released on 5 October 2006.
