New online system for short selling.

Oct 03, 2006 (Money Management - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A new product from Trader Dealer is aimed at investors who want to engage in short selling. Generally, Australian investors wanting to get involved in short selling are only allowed to select shares from the Australian Stock Exchange's Short Selling List. However, Anthony Blumberg, of Trader Dealer, says its stock borrowing system means investors are not confined to using the Short Selling List. He says that Trade Dealer's new product enables investors to replicate the mechanism of short selling, even though their trades are treated as a normal transaction.
