Poddies still crooks under copyright law.

Nov 20, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Lawyers in Australia are unhappy with proposed new laws governing copyright protection. They argue that both the existing legislation and the planned reforms are too heavy-handed. However, the legal experts also reject as scare-mongering claims by the Internet Industry Association that new crimes are being created by the amendments, pointing out its already illegal to record an artist's public performance and distribute it, regardless of whether conventional or more modern digital technology is used.
