Tyranny of distance locks Australia out of global trade: CEDA report.

Nov 10, 2006 (Lloyd's List Daily Commercial News - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Committee for Economic Development Australia (CEDA) has released its report on Australia's place in the world economy. The report titled "Global Chains: Australia's challenge in the evolving world economy" was written by John Houghton of Victoria University's Centre for Strategic Economic Studies. Houghton believes that Australia is at risk of being left out of the new wave of globalisation. Commenting on the findings of the report, Greg Meek, CEO of CEDA, said Australia need to engage more with the world economy.
