News to launch MySpace in Japan.

Nov 07, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The mass media group, News Corporation, has a new venture in Japan. It has been largely absent from that market in past years, but this has changed. News has unveiled a Japanese-language version of the social networking web site, MySpace. News has formed a 50-50 joint venture with the Japanese group, Softbank Corporation, to launch the new site. In 2005, News paid $US580 million to buy MySpace, which has 125 million members across the globe. MySpace has other localised sites across the globe, including in the US, the UK, Australia and Ireland.
