Holland leads way in move to Comcare.

Nov 05, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- State governments do not like seeing big companies move to Comcare, the Australian Government's workers' compensation scheme. In 2006, the Victorian Government led a High Court of Australia challenge against the Federal Government's legal powers to admit private companies to Comcare. The latest big group to move to Comcare is the John Holland building company. Meanwhile, the National Australia Bank faces criticism over plans to have its 20,000 employees join Comcare as well. The Finance Sector Union alleged that there is a lack of enforcement by Comcare and it has only 33 inspectors for the whole of Australia.
