Nov 02, 2006 (Superfunds - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) welcomes the Government's "Final Decisions" paper. The document discusses refinements to some of the administrative arrangements in the "Simple Super" plan in the May 2006 Budget. The Australian Securities & Investments Commission has been asked by ASFA to clarify how it wants super fund trustees to report fund earnings in periodic member statements. The Australian Taxation Office has issued a warning about rollovers of super benefits into self-managed funds, while the Australian Labor Party is concerned about the impact of a new inquiry into super on industry funds.
