Property by numbers.

Australasian Business Intelligence, December, 2006

Dec 26, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian Property Monitors (APM) has prepared a real estate report for John Fairfax Holdings' "The Australian Financial Review". It is based around postcode data with sales of more than 10 houses in the year to 30 November 2006. According to APM's Michael McNamara, the strongest growth was in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia, reflecting Australia's so-called "two-speed economy". Meanwhile, with popular "sea-change" locations losing some ground, there is a belief that prices considered too high reduce the consumer interest in coastal areas such as Coffs Harbour, Noosa and Torquay.
