Jetstar's Honolulu service takes off.

Dec 27, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Qantas's budget offshoot Jetstar has begun flights to international destinations, including Bangkok, Bali and Vietnam. Jetstar began its first service to Honolulu, Hawaii on 27 December 2006. A private equity group has made an $A11.1 billion offer for Qantas, which has been recommended by the Qantas board. The private equity group intends to increase the number of Jetstar flights to holiday destinations, because Jetstar services are cheaper to run than Qantas services.
