School speech lands councillor in strife.

Dec 11, 2006 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Baulkham Hills Shire Council alderman Les Shore allegedly made inappropriate comments at a primary school awards ceremony. The New South Wales Department of Local Government is investigating claims Shore told an assembly of 400 school children at Beaumont Hills Public School that he had been asked on radio whether he was "fond of little boys". Dennis MacKenzie, a Department of Education & Training official who attended the awards ceremony, wrote a letter to the council indicating that Shore's comments were completely inappropriate.
