CBA to make its systems pay.
Australasian Business Intelligence, December, 2006
Byline: Julian Bajkowski
Dec 06, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) CEO, Ralph Norris, addressed an Australian Computer Society function on 6 December 2006. Norris said the bank intends to licence its CommSee program overseas. The technology provides a unified customer profile and allows for a relatively accurate representation of profit margins per product and per customer. Norris claimed the CBA is interested in determining whether the internally-developed software can operate outside of the group's internal support processes. It does not seem likely that the CBA will sell the product to any of its Australian competitors.
