Dec 07, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The cost of living in another country can be a shock to Australians moving overseas for what seems like a highly-paid job. Mercer Human Resource Consulting recently concluded that Moscow is the most expensive city in the world in which to live. Seoul is next, followed by Tokyo, Hong Kong and London. Moscow was 23 per cent more expensive than New York, the most expensive city in the US. Sydney was in 19th place, Melbourne 74th and Adelaide 108th. The survey included such factors as housing, food, transport and entertainment.
