Radio ratings finally set to go electronic.

Dec 06, 2006 (B&T Weekly - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The radio industry in Australia is ready to switch to an electronic ratings system. According to Commercial Radio Australia, the representative body for the country's main broadcasters, the contract to develop an electronic audience measurement system will be up for tender in mid-2007. A new agreement is likely to start in 2009 once the current one, held by Nielsen Media Research, expires in 2008. Nielsen is likely to submit a bid, with Ipsos Australia and Arbitron also on the list of possible contenders.
