Jan 28, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Digital music is now becoming mainstream. The 17 January 2007 report by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) indicates that digital music now makes up 10 of music sales, almost double the amount in 2005, and is worth around $A2.5 billion. IFPI expects 25 of all music sales to be through online networks by 2010. However, piracy continues to be a concern and IFPI is pushing for internet service providers to block sites that allow illegal music downloads.
