ACNielsen - what's hot around the globe.

Jan 24, 2007 (Retail World - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Jane Perrin, of ACNielsen, gave a paper called "What's hot around the globe" at the SIAL trade show. Perrin reported that concerns about skin cancer and premature ageing led to a five per cent increase in sun care sales in 2005. She revealed that sales of drinking yoghurt, fresh fish and pre-packaged salads are flourishing. A survey of 38 countries by ACNielsen found that private label sales were rising by five per cent, against two per cent for manufacturer brands. A survey by the researcher showed that South Korea has the least confident consumers and India has the most confident.
