Australasian Business Intelligence, January, 2007

Jan 09, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Smart Internet Technology Co-operative Research Centre in Australia is working on a new type of mobile telephone. Based on research by RMIT University lecturer Christine Satchell, the handset will use new technology to let callers know what the owner is currently doing, via graphical icons. The idea for the new product, called "The Swarm", arose from Satchell's study of mobile telephone users' behaviour for her PhD thesis.
